The other day I was sent this really darling granny square charted pattern by a reader and was asked if I could provide a written pattern, as the reader is unable to read charts.  Of course, I was so happy to do that for her. I also decided to offer a picture tutorial (scroll to bottom), thinking it may help a few of you.

Here is the original website if you prefer crocheting from her chart. If you click on the image, you will be redirected to her page.

Puff Granny Stitch
Isn’t it lovely? Not only would it make a really cute blanket, but as soon as I saw it I thought rug!

Here my sample worked up. I worked it as the chart was written, but for future squares, I might work round one in Hdc instead of Dc to get the puffier middle, like the photo above.

For this sample, I have used Loops & Threads Woolike in Ice Blue and a 3.5 mm (E/4) hook. This yarn is available at Michael’s. Click here to see their latest coupons!! They always have a 40-60% off and sometimes even a 20-30% off entire purchase including sale items! The BEST part…you can use both coupons on the same purchase!

Anyway, here you go!
